Theme should be grown on the story, so the audience will learn while reading/ watching it.

 Before you start writing, know your characters well.
 Main character should be someone readers can feel something in common with, or at least care about.

Simpons

One sentence story angle(story idea):
Woman is not an object, is to be love.


One sentence plot summary:
Bart got a new spy camera and he started to use it to take pictures all around him. And he took a photo of his father dancing with a female belly dancers.


Synopsis:
Bart got new camera and he started to takes pictures around him. One day Homer went to a party and his family went to the same restaurant to have dinner. When Bart went to the toilet, he was curious and went to other room and saw Homer was dancing with a belly dancer.


Act1:
key character: Homer
Motive: trying to explain everything to Marge.
Situation:Bart took a photo of homer dancing with the belly dancer.

Act2:
Conflict: Bart photocopy the photo to his friends, soon the picture went all around the city.
Obstacles: when Marge found out, she kick out Homer out of the house.
Drama: He went to his friend's house to live, but he miss home and he decided to go home.

Act3:
Outcome: Merge want Homer to explain to Bart that woman is not an object and not to be toying around,which she doesn't want Bart have a wrong thinking.
Resolution: Homer bring Bart to different pub to find that dancer. At later Homer found her and he went to the stage to explain things to the audiences and Marge forgive Homer.

Frasier
Season 1 ep1 "The good son"

1sentence plot summary
Frasier and his brother is deciding their father to live in the nursing home, but changed theirs mind and one of them is keep their father.


synopsis
Frasier is a formerly a boston, who was recently got divorce with his wife, thought he finally have a single life back. When his brother told him that their father got injures form the bathroom, one of them must take care of him. As Frasier taking care of his father, who doesn't like his younger son's wife. And he also wanted to be a good son. Soon trouble goes into his life as his father is not a easy person,not just his father who lives in his house, Eddie, the dog and Daphne Moon, an english physiotherapist.

3 act structure

Act1

Frasier is a host talk in a radio show, he divorce with his wife, and started a new life as a bachelor.
Turning point
Deciding on put his father to a nursing home, or his brother or him going to let his father stay?


Act2
His father live Frasier's house and not a easy person. the dog and the physiotherapist are also going to live in his house. His father never say "thank you" to him.
Turning point
He wanted to give up being a good son.

Act3
His father called the hot line to the radio station and telling him, "thank you".

3 Act Structure

Act 1: Set up; to keep the story interesting and set problems / questions for audience to ask themself, why what , how? to keep them interested to find out themself. E.g story started and audience would ask themself, why is he chasing her?? why are the fighting?.
Act 2: Confrontation; as in act 1 hidden back-story sholud be reveiw in act 2. And now will be more dangerous and difficult for the main characters.
Act3 : Resolution; of the problem. the eventual conclusion of the story, whether the main character is in good ending or died/defeated.
